I am a Technical Director from Magnolia, AR. I received my BFA in Theatre from Southern Arkansas University and I am currently pursuing my MFA in Theatre Technology from Indiana University. I believe that Theatre is nothing without a good team, and I always aim to foster positive relationships with my carpenters and students. The people are more important than the show, and a team that is well taken care of produces higher quality work.
I got my GED at 16 and began my undergrad career knowing that I had to make the most of my higher education. In my time in undergrad, I was able to try my hand at just about everything, but my favorites are Carpentry, Sound Design, and Scenic Design. I worked as a carpenter in the SAU Scenic Shop from 2022 to 2024, and I am currently a Carpenter and Technical Director in IU's Scenic Studio. Professionally, I have worked as a Scenic Artist at Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts, and as the Technical Director and Assistant Technical Director for Ohio Light Opera. More than anything, I love being able to create.
